We partnered with NOWNESS to coordinate and promote the London edition of the NOWNESS Short Film Awards screening event, presented as part of the CHINA WAVE series. This event marked the third stop of CHINA WAVE, following successful showcases in Shenzhen and Shanghai, and was a meaningful return to London—the birthplace of NOWNESS.
In collaboration with the London Short Film Festival, we curated a dynamic programme featuring 23 acclaimed short films by emerging and established Chinese filmmakers. Screenings took place at two of London’s most iconic cultural venues: the ICA and Barbican Centre. In addition to managing event logistics, we also organized an engaging panel discussion featuring filmmakers, curators, and cultural voices from both China and the UK, fostering cross-cultural dialogue around contemporary cinema.
Beyond production and event coordination, we served as the public relations lead for the project—shaping the event narrative, managing press outreach, and ensuring consistent communication across platforms. Our PR efforts included media liaison, copywriting for promotional materials, coordination of press interviews, and social media support to amplify the event’s visibility.
This project not only celebrated the innovation and global relevance of Chinese short film but also strengthened the international presence of the NOWNESS Short Film Awards—positioning the event as both a cultural exchange and a platform for new creative voices.
